Earn college credits while you are in high school through dual enrollment at RCC. Your two options are:

Option 1: Early Admit Program

An Early Admit applicant is a high school student who plans to complete their senior year at RCC (12 credits or more). A minimum GPA of at least 80 or 2.66 is required. A placement score of 101 or higher in Math and English is also required. In order to apply, submit your Enrollment Application for Early Admissions and your Admissions Application.

Our Early Admit Program allows you to earn college credit and get a head start on your college career.

  • Earn up to 34 credits before graduating high school
  • Financial advantage: start college now, save later!
  • Experience college life: join a club, student government or athletic team
  • Find out if you qualify for RCC's nationally renowned Honors Program

RCC Early Admit Students are Eligible to Apply for Federal Pell Grants*, New York State TAP and the Excelsior Scholarship

You will be required to fill out the FAFSA, the NYS TAP Application and NYS Excelsior Scholarship Application to determine if you qualify for the Pell Grant Dual Enrollment Experiment* and/or New York State aid. If you qualify for a Pell Grant or the Excelsior Scholarship, you attend tuition-free!

*RCC participates in the Pell Grant Dual Enrollment Experiment, enabling eligible low-income high school students the opportunity to earn tuition-free college credit.

Option 2: High School Program

Our High School Program is open to high school juniors and seniors who wish to register part-time (fewer than 12 credits per semester) and take classes either in your high school or on RCC's main campus or extension sites.
