Library, Room 4305D

Robert Schultz, PhD, Associate Provost, Curriculum Development, Faculty Engagement and Academic Support Services, joined RCC’s senior administration in 2017 with many years of higher education experience in both the public and private sectors.

Over the course of his career he has served in several varied capacities, including researcher and instructor at Baruch College – CUNY, faculty member and French Language Coordinator within the Department of Modern Languages at Fordham University, and most recently Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at SUNY Sullivan, a position he held since 2010. During his tenure at Sullivan he advanced up the ranks from Assistant to the Vice President for Evening & Weekend College, to Assistant Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs, and finally to Vice President. On at least two occasions when the position of College President was vacant he was appointed Officer in Charge.  He also had the distinct pleasure of serving for several years as Interim Chair of the Division of Natural & Health Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Education, where despite his scientific shortfalls, he cultivated collaboratively productive relationships with faculty.

Schultz holds a PhD from Columbia University in French and Romance Philology, an MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College-CUNY and an MA and BA in French from Rutgers University.
