Khader Humied has been appointed Instructor of Computer Aided Design (CAD), after having served as an adjunct since 2005. He has wide-ranging experience in architectural design and education with a focus on STEM. Trained as an architect, he specializes in designing green and sustainable buildings, and his work has been published in many magazines. He will be offering CAD workshops and classes at RCC’s 3D Printing SMARTT Lab and advising local companies on their project designs.

Humied has taught architecture, design and art for K-12 students through his business, Wizlab Inc., and was artist-in-residence at Marquis Studios in Brooklyn, working with children to create model houses and other projects. He’s also taught at Long Island University Hudson Graduate Center, Pratt Institute, Hudson River Museum and Sarah Lawrence College. Humied, a Nyack resident, holds a BS in architecture from CCNY and is studying for an MA in learning and emerging technologies from Empire State College.
