Andre Chiavelli

Andre Chiavelli ’81 has been a hit in the business and sports worlds. He is executive global vice president of sales marketing education and public relations for Farouk Systems, a Houston-based manufacturer of hair-care products. In 2009 he won a World Series ring as official memorabilia vendor for the champion New York Yankees. He operated a memorabilia store inside Yankee Stadium from 2009 to 2014.

His credentials as a baseball player are also impressive. At RCC he was team Most Valuable Player, All-Region XV and All-Mid Hudson Conference two straight years, and later was offered a pro contract by the Yankees. He was elected to the Spring Valley High School Hall of Fame in October 2015 for his accomplishments on the baseball diamond.

Chiavelli received an AAS in business administration at RCC and transferred to Mercy College but left to pursue business and sports opportunities. In 2014 he launched “Rockland’s Greatest” Facebook page chronicling Rockland sports history, drawing more than 3,000 weekly visitors. The site’s vintage photos, news clippings and other features have proven immensely popular within the Rockland athletics community.
